Thank you for supporting Alexa Heming Jewellery. Every single piece is designed, hand-cast, and meticulously finished by a single artisan in our studio. Below are the terms and conditions that constitute our comprehensive Shipping and Returns Policy.
1. Domestic & International Shipping Destinations
We currently accept orders and ship exclusively to addresses within Canada and the United States. All orders are packed and dispatched safely from our studio located in Trail, British Columbia.
2. Order Processing & Dispatches
Ready-to-Ship Collection: Orders featuring standard, pre-made items are processed and handed to the courier within 2 to 4 business days from receipt of payment.
Made-to-Order & Custom Pieces: Because our jewelry is handmade, cast, and finished by a single maker, custom designs, adjustments, or specific sizing require a dedicated production window. Please check the individual product listing page for current production timelines (typically 2 to 4 weeks) prior to shipment.
Please note: Orders are not processed, shipped, or delivered on weekends or statutory Canadian holidays. Immediately upon order confirmation and shipment checkout, you will receive automated system-generated transactional notifications tracking your delivery.
3. Shipping Rates, Carriers, & Delivery Estimates
We primary ship via trusted carriers including Canada Post, USPS, and UPS. Shipping charges and delivery timelines are automatically calculated at checkout based on your destination and chosen level of service. Tracking information will be emailed to you immediately upon carrier pickup.
US Border Customs, Taxes, and Duties Notice: For all shipments traveling from Canada into the United States, the recipient is the importer of record. You are explicitly responsible for any customs clearance fees, import duties, or local state taxes levied upon entering the US. Alexa Heming Jewellery has no control over these regional regulatory charges and cannot predict their final amount.
4. No Returns or Exchanges (Final Sale)
Due to the small-batch, artisanal nature of our jewelry, all sales are strictly final. We do not accept returns, refunds, or exchanges for change of mind, incorrect sizing, or buyer's remorse.
By completing your purchase on our Site, you acknowledge and agree that your order cannot be canceled, returned, or exchanged. We highly encourage you to review all product descriptions, dimensions, and sizing charts carefully before placing your order.
5. Damaged or Transit-Impacted Items
Because every piece is individually handcrafted, inspected, and securely packed by the maker, items do not leave our studio with structural flaws. However, we will absolutely take care of you if an item sustains damage while in transit.
To report damage sustained during delivery, you must contact us at info@alexahemingjewellery.com within 48 hours of delivery. Your email must include your order number and clear, unedited, high-resolution photographs of the jewelry from multiple angles, alongside photos of the original exterior packaging.
6. Mandatory Physical Inspection for Claims
To protect against digital fraud and image manipulation, no refunds, repairs, or replacements will be authorized based on digital photographs alone.
If a damage claim is opened, we will provide instructions for you to mail the physical item back to our studio in British Columbia.
Upon receipt, the jewelry will undergo a thorough, physical, in-studio inspection by the maker to verify the nature and cause of the reported issue.
If the damage is verified as a legitimate shipping or transit fault, we will cover the cost of the repair or replacement and reimburse your return shipping costs. If the item shows signs of deliberate customer tampering, wear-and-tear, or if the digital claim imagery does not accurately match the physical item, the claim will be denied and the item will be sent back at the customer's expense.
